Choddy hooks are specifically designed for use with stiff leader materials such as chod rigs or hinged stiff rigs. They also work great with other pop-up bait presentations. The hooks have an outward-facing shank which provides a smooth curve between the leader and hook when using hard rigs. Their shape is based on the iconic Wide Gape model, but made from slightly thicker wire for added strength.
These hooks are incredibly strong. The slightly curved point is very sharp and the barb is sized to prevent the hook from piercing, but still provides a secure hold.
